Join us and learn the basics of cultivating a sourdough culture and using it to bake bread. Your Instructor Mee Cheng will cover:
Overview of sourdough
How to make your own starter from scratch
Demonstration of making sourdough bread
Explanation of the different flours and their textures in sourdough
Try sourdough samples with other delicious homemade toppings
This talk/demonstration will be delivered to comply with current government health advice, maintaining distance between participants and good hygiene. Please bring your own plate and water bottle.
All this is set in the grounds of Perth City Farm, non-profit community environmental centre that provides space and opportunities to cultivate connection, and educates and enables all of us to live sustainably with nature. Revenue generated from workshops supports our Farm.
